Love for Daisies and Disco Balls

I enjoyed writing, photographing, and putting up music for this blog. Thanks for all the viewers! However, for lack of time and a growing interest in photography, I've redirected my attention towards a new tumblr.
So check it out!!

I will not be writing in the blog for now....but who knows, maybe in winter break?

Lots of Love!

In a period of assimilating ideas...

It sounds highly artistic (which I'm not), but I truly feel i'm in a phase of great learning, observation, and open mindedness.
To put things more informally, it's a 'taking things in' sort of period.

In this past week I've met so many new people with such high emotions about starting their college lives.
It's the start of a completely new phase and all their energies, anxieties, expectations naturally passed on to me. While they're happy to be out of high school and meet new people so many are secretly scared and just lost. They are searching for who they are and most importantly who they want to be now.

I just love having this perspective.

But I'm sensing the 'assimilation period' will come to an end (does it ever?) soon and that means i'll write more frequently.

Until then, keep your eyes and ears open for great insights because I'm keeping mine!

Here goes an awesooommee song from an awesssooommmeee band that was introduced to me yesterday by one of the new people I've met:

Pos-Yoga: Thoughts after class

Are we just versions of the same people?

Are we even that different?

Why does our societal education and value system teach us to distance ourselves and see every human so individualistically?

Shouldn't we all highlight our connections instead of our distinctions?
What about valuing and acknowledging the (good and bad) chemistry we have amongst each other?

These are just thoughts after a relaxing and deep yoga class...I recommend it to everyone:)

Tiredness

My feet hurt,
My back aches,
My neck is so tense that if I move to one side, it pops!

But, there is something particularly special about feeling tired.

When you are truly tired you feel a dreamy reality. It's as though you sense things but don't fully take them. Your head just floats down and your brain doesn't process. You're basically a computer.
When I get tired I go to one of the extremes- silliness or annoyance. If you know me, you can guess its usually the silliness that sticks. I laugh at everything because I'm so tired that I make sillyest mistakes and can't take anything too seriously.

So, that's tiredness for me. Tired now and even though I'll sleep, I'll be tired the same time tomorrow and forever. Hunger and fatigue are never ending.

What about you?
What's your experience?

Well, to finish off the night and the post, here goes "Crosses" by Jose Gonzalez.
* His sweet guitar and voice will make anyone relax (at anytime of the day or night).*

Coming Back

It's been way too long.
It's partly because of busyness and partly because of not writing when I'm not busy.

There's just something about writing that can't be substituted. You are taking thoughts and putting them down- paper, computer- and from that moment i'ts written. Your thoughts are not just thoughts anymore, they exist and can be understood from different perspectives. They are real.

And most importantly, they become a conversation with yourself and the reader. It's these conversations that are a fountain for knowledge.

I missed daisies! I missed writing to the 'world'. Even though there might be 6 people reading this haha It's just a special and fun way of writing a journal but without any limitations. (Blog Gratitude)

So I will re-marry Daisies and Disco Balls and vow to stay forever faithful.

Let's start the relationship with a sweet happy song by A Fine Frenzy and until the next time!

Mr. Sister

This past week was a transition, an adaption, and adjustment to being back in Boston. Everything by now is pretty much settled, thank goodness.
Back in Boston means back to Boston concerts- woo hoo!

Here's the first one to begin a series of local coverage.
Let's start with the venue: Great Scott's.

The Great Scott's is located in Allston in front of the Harvard Ave Green Line T Stop. It's the perfect size and has a cozy-pub vibe that could make anyone feel comfortable.
